A few weeks ago, while at Silverwood, the national bull terrier show, Elway, a young bull terrier, came on the radar. His first owner didn’t want him and gave him to someone else. It seemed like that family was going to hold onto him for some time but then turned him over to the shelter the next day. Kasi Goodman, who

lives near the shelter and often helps Blue Ridge, offered to take him temporarily as the shelter was full and they wanted him to be in the shelter for the minimum possible time. Kasi was only able to keep him for a short time so we made a post looking for a home for him. Let us tell you all, lots of people were interested in this young boy! We sorted through lots of messages and calls until we found what we feel is the ideal home for Elway. Elway’s new parents, Deborah and Philip, lost their beloved bull terrier Daisy last year. Life just hasn’t been the same since and the house has been too quiet without her. We have made sure to tell Deborah and Philip that it will be quiet no more (and if it is quiet they need to make sure Elway isn’t up to something no good!). Today, Kasi and Elway’s new mom drove several hours each to meet up and hand him off. He should almost be to his new home and we are all excited for the start of his new life.
