UPDATE 10/25/23: The blue eyed Chicago bully will be going to a phenomenal home this evening (10/25/33). Further updates to follow.

Immediate Foster Needed

Chicago, IL area

We just got contacted about this boy in Chicago at ACC. He was picked up as a stray. ACC is very full and can’t hold dogs much past the end of their stray hold. Here is the information I have been told. He is a cutie. He has done great with the people he has met. He did well meeting a dog that was of similar size. He is thought to be about 48 pounds. He is very sad being in the shelter. He has one blue eye so there is a possibility he is deaf. Here is what we need. A home where someone will allow him to decompress and be kept separate from another similar sized or bigger dog in the home for a few weeks and then try gradual integration. Someone who can take some time to get to know him, so we can figure out what would make an ideal permanent home for him. A home where he will build some confidence and be loved on. We need him to not be sad, we want to see his bull terrier spirit shine through. Since we know so little about him, we will not risk sending him to a home with smaller animals or children under 12 years old. We will cover vet costs to get him up to date on his medical. If you live within 4-6 hours of Chicago and can take this guy after 7 pm on 10/25/23 or any time on 10/26/23, please message our main inbox or Lisa Taubman Blount directly. (Please send a message to either Lisa or the Blue Ridge inbox and not a message to both. Lisa is the only one who checks all the messages and will respond back as soon as she can. Thank you.)
