Lady is ready for her furever home
As some of you might remember, Lady came into rescue in late June/early July of 2021. A backyard breeder owned her and had her living outside with a male bull terrier for the first 5 years of her life. The owner had taken her to the vet and learned she tested positive for heartworms (HW). At that point, he no longer had any use for her and wasn’t inclined to treat her so she came into rescue. Since then, Lady has gone through the grueling HW treatment and is now HW negative, spayed and up to date on her vetting. Lady has spent close to a year with her foster family. A family who has cared for her, loved her and helped her learn how to be a member of a family. Lady has been in the company of a male bull terrier who she plays with nicely (i.e. rough and tumble bull terrier style play). She has been great with the two younger human sisters in the home. She has learned how to walk on a leash, is crate trained and non-destructive. Lady is a talker and lets you know when she wants something but sometimes it is unclear exactly what she wants! She would do well in a home with a male dog of similar size or bigger (she weighs about 38 lbs). She has a medium energy level and loves to cuddle. She also LOVES car rides. She is a little over 6 yrs old. No cats. Kids 8 and older.
