We woke up on Wednesday morning, the 13th of December, to a message about a bully in a shelter in Indianapolis, IN. We reached out to our contact there and learned that she was picked up as a stray on the 11th. From the moment she was brought to the shelter, she was terrified and trembling. A mother-son team of animal control officers at the facility, who also happen to have 3 bull terriers of their own as well as another dog, brought her home Wednesday evening in the hopes of calming her and making her feel at ease during her stray hold. Pretty quickly after leaving the shelter, she turned the corner and warmed up to everyone in the home and all her fear seemed to subside. Her stray hold expired on the evening of the 15th and no one tried to claim her. We had spoken with the family who had brought her home and they graciously agreed to foster her so that we can learn more about her and get any vetting she needs taken care of. They have named her Roo. Once Roo is ready for a new home, we will work on finding her one. For now, you can like and follow her journey on her page, How Do You Roo?
