UPDATE (12/12/23): Sassy will be going to a fantastic foster home this weekend. Further updates to follow.

Meet Sassy

Sassy was found in the parking lot of a supermarket on November 18th. Although someone claimed to be the owner, that person never came to get her and eventually signed her over to the shelter. There isn’t a lot of information about Sassy that we currently know. We did have someone go meet and evaluate her today (12/10/23) and are taking that information into account along with what we have been told by the shelter. The shelter is full and we need to get her out of there as soon as possible. She is a tripod, missing one of her back legs, this does not appear to impact her in any way. She is thought to be around 2 years old. She keeps her kennel clean. She has been extremely sweet and loving with those she has interacted with. She also has some typical bull terrier sass, hence her name! She has seen other dogs in the shelter and has not been reactive. We would be okay having her go to a home with a male dog who is medium size or bigger. We would expect that the dogs initially be kept separate while she can decompress and then have gradual integration attempted. She loves playing with toys. She has some decent energy levels. Since we do not know her history, children 12 and older, no cats or smaller animals. If you live within 6 hours (or further if you are willing to drive more) of Bedford, PA and can offer Sassy either a foster home or a foster-to-adopt home, please either message our main inbox or Lisa Taubman Blount directly.
