Porkchop is looking for a new home

We pulled Porkchop from a shelter on March 11th. He had been seized by animal control for neglect. He went to his new home with the intent to foster-to-adopt and he has been doing fantastic with one exception. After allowing some decompression time and gradual introductions between Porkchop and the resident dog, it seems Porkchop has decided he would like to have the humans in the house all to himself. Although he did great playing with an assortment of dogs during his time at the shelter, there weren’t humans there that he was attached to and they were just playing in a group and then once play was over, he would go back to his kennel, which is very different than a household setting. This problem seems to only be related to another dog in the home and has not been an issue with humans. He is perfectly fine seeing dogs outside of the home including the resident dog. He has been an absolute lovebug since being in this home. He is crate trained and potty trained. He goes to the door to let his humans know he needs to go potty. He is very chill but loves going outside for walks and to play with his toys. Kongs are his favorite, he will carry one around all day if allowed and will even nap with it. As is the case with most bullies, he loves to be around humans and loves when all attention is on him. Part of his nighttime ritual includes evening zoomies right before bed. He has a funny personality and will make you laugh multiple times a day. He thoroughly enjoys treats and has been working on basic commands like sit, stay and come. Although we debated if he was a mix or just not the best bred but full bred bull terrier, the majority of experts feel that he is a full bull terrier. While he may not have the sought after egg head, his excellent temperament makes up for that. He is a 1.5 years of age and weighs about 44 lbs. In spite of his young age, he seems to be a boy with a moderate amount of energy. He does seem to like cats. Since he has not lived with children previously, kids 12 and older.
