UPDATE: (10/31/22) We have a wonderful foster to adopt home lined up for Bella. She will be going in a few weeks. Further updates to follow then.
Meet Bella
Bella is a 6 1/2 year old bull terrier, who weighs about 55 lbs, and is in need of a new home. Bella and another bull terrier lived with a family in a home with a beautiful fenced in yard for her entire life until about 4 months ago. Things changed dramatically when the man of the home moved half way across the country amid a divorce. The home had to be sold and the woman had to move into an apartment. The woman works 14 hour days, 6 days a week. Bella is very loved but this woman feels awful that Bella is not getting the attention she deserves. She is good on a leash but greatly misses having a fenced in yard to just run around in. Bella has bursts of energy and play and then wants to just chill out and relax. She is good with dogs of similar size or bigger. She has lived with a very young, higher energy bull terrier and tolerated all the shenanigans that came with that bully, however, it was a lot for her and can be annoying since she doesn’t have the same energy level so we would like her to go to a home with a dog who has medium to low energy like she does. Bella absolutely loves children and being in their presence. We would be okay sending her to a home with children age 8 and over if we believe that the children have been taught to properly respect a dog’s space. While the current owner is at work, she is gated off in the kitchen area with free access to food and water, she does not overeat, she somehow self regulates what she eats, which is pretty impressive for a bull terrier! She does fine in the gated area but she has never been crate trained, which we felt important to mention. She has had hematoma issues in her ears so they are a little crinkly and floppy but that just makes her more endearing. The woman who evaluated her let us know that she is super sweet and loving and just generally a good girl. NO cats or small animals. Kids 8 and older.
