UPDATE (05/19/23): We have already had a few great families offer to foster this guy. He will be pulled tomorrow and heading to a foster home so we can learn more about him and get all his vetting taken care of. Further updates to follow.
Immediate Foster Needed
This little guy was picked up as a stray in the Chicago area and so far has not been claimed by his owners. His stray hold ends tomorrow and the shelter is beyond full so we need to get him out ASAP. He is thought to weigh about 40 lbs. He has been extremely sweet to everyone and at the shelter, at least, seems to be okay with other dogs his size or bigger. We have a range of estimates on his age so until we can have a vet take a look at his teeth, we aren’t really sure, the shelter believes he is between 6 and 8 months. The above information is all we know at this point. We are looking for someone who lives within reasonable driving distance of Chicago to foster him as we need to pull him within the next few days. We would like to have someone who will take some time to get to know him so we can then figure out what kind of permanent home he will need. Since we don’t know his history, kids 12 and older. No cats because we are unsure if he has a prey drive and don’t want to risk the safety of any animal over a placement.
