A little more than 3 years ago, Keys was obtained by a gentleman who had recently moved back to North Carolina. Several months later, the person who had sold Keys to the owner, reached out, asking if he was interested in a female as well. Keys owner went and got the female now named Carter. Keys and Carter were then reunited. Fast forward to springtime 2022, Carter and Keys owners had a baby. Once the baby came home, Carter and Keys went from living inside of the home full time to living outside full time. More recently, the owners learned that they are having another baby so they reached out in the hopes of finding a new home for them in order to cut back on expenses. There is another bull terrier in the home but she is older and was allowed to remain inside the home and is staying with the family. While we were in the midst of gathering information about Keys and Carter, we learned that Katie and Ryan had just lost their senior Blue Ridge alumnus Patton and were looking to bring home a pair of bull terriers. Their hearts were broken and their home was too quiet. It was almost magical how things seemed to align. Some might even believe that Patton had a paw in all of it. Today, Katie and Ryan drove several hours to pick Keys and Carter up and bring them home. We are thrilled that Keys and Carter will now return to living indoors and be showered with love and attention and that Katie and Ryan’s hearts and homes will be filled with bully love and shenanigans again.

Special thanks to Glenna Wright for her initial involvement and help in the case, Shawn and Marika Metting McCarthy for going to meet and evaluate Keys and Carter and Katie and Ryan for driving hours both directions to bring them home for their new life.
