Meet Magoo!

Current Location: Longmeadow, MA

Magoo is a laid-back, sweet, yet still a little spicy, senior looking for his furever home through Blue Ridge Bull Terrier Rescue. This fall, Magoo found his way to a shelter after he was discovered tied to a fence and abandoned in Connecticut. Since getting his freedom from the shelter, he has been in a foster home where he has been able to get all of the medical care that he needs. But, unfortunately, he isn’t able to get the full attention that he needs. He has to spend quite a bit of time alone due to his foster’s work schedule and responsibilities of other pets in the home. At Magoo’s age, estimated to be around 12 years old, he deserves to have his own home and his own family that is able to dedicate time to spoiling him. Magoo is pretty quiet and low maintenance. He enjoys a great nap on a fluffy bed, or to curl up at your feet, or maybe take a nice little snooze beside you on the couch. Don’t let his age fool you though, Magoo still loves to trot around his fenced backyard, explore, and attempt some hucklebutts. Most of all – he absolutely loves to trance! He enjoys playing with soft toys and maybe playing a little fetch. He is nondestructive (he’s had quite a few teeth removed recently) but still has a little bit of that classic bull terrier stubborn naughty streak in him. Magoo is up to date on his vaccines, weighs in at 55lbs (thinned out due to his age) and has the expected health of a dog his age; showing some signs of arthritis and deafness. He is crate trained, housebroken, and can be walked on a leash. He has a good appetite and eats a normal diet. Magoo has been living with other dogs in his foster home and been allowed to spend time with a female bull terrier. He was a little overexcited at first, but he is nonreactive and just wants to play. Dogs about his size who won’t be too hard on this older guy are preferred. While he can be pretty oblivious, he still shows that natural bull terrier prey drive, so a home with no cats or critters is best. Magoo will do well in a home with older children who can respect his age and gentle handling needs.

We want nothing more than for Magoo to get a home of his own so he can live out his golden years being absolutely spoiled. Can you open your home and your heart to this adorable senior gentleman? If so, please apply here: https://www.brbtc.org/adoption-process/
