UPDATE: We have a wonderful foster home for this boy and he will be going there later this afternoon (07/18/22).
EMERGENCY LONG TERM FOSTER HOME NEEDED
We were just contacted by a shelter in Franklin, TN about a male bull terrier in rough shape. His stray hold is up and he is going to need medical care, both acute and long term. He has something going on with his eye, which will need to be dealt with soon but he is also Heartworm positive and will need to go through treatment, which takes several months. We have been told that he is very sweet. He has ignored the dogs he walks by in the kennels. When he sees dogs at a distance, he has gotten excited (in a good way), tail wagging and seems to want to play. We truly don’t know though much about him. We are looking for an immediate foster with someone who will be okay taking him to vet appointments and helping care for him. We will cover those medical costs. Although it appears he might be okay with other dogs, we don’t know so he would have to go to someone who would allow him to decompress and keep separate from other dogs for a few weeks and then try gradual integration to see how he did. If he ended up not being okay with those dogs, then the foster would have to be willing to crate and rotate or just keep him separate. Again, we just don’t know at this point. If you are within about 4- 6 hours of Franklin, TN and can open your home and heart up to this precious boy, please either message our main inbox or Lisa Taubman Blount directly
