Jerzy is ready for her furever home as soon as possible
Jerzy is a 20 month old deaf female bull terrier who came into rescue at the beginning of May, 2022. She weighs 51 lbs. She has been fostered during that time so we could get all her medical needs addressed as she had given birth to a litter prior to coming to us and had not received any medical care. Since getting proper antibiotics and healing up from her spay, those issues have seemed to disappear. Jerzy developed a hernia following her spay and will need another surgery to have it repaired. We will cover the cost of that but whoever gets her will most likely have to bring her in for that as we are hoping to get her into a new home in the very near future. She is a sweet girl who loves to take walks and let you know what she thinks. Her adorable floppy ears, which seem to change position depending on her mood and situation, make her extra endearing. She is dog friendly with dogs her size and bigger. To try to avoid any issues that we sometimes see with two same sexed dogs, we feel she would do best going to a home with a male dog. She is crate trained. Someone with experience working with a deaf dog would be ideal but is not required. She will do best in a home where she has structure and routine and both mental and physical stimulation. She seeks out cuddles and affection. Jerzy’s foster mom feels strongly that if her new family puts in the work with her and doesn’t let her push boundaries, she will be an amazing addition to the family. Kids 12 and older. No cats or smaller animals. If you live within 6 hours of North Arlington, NJ and think you can provide Jerzy the home she needs , please either message our main inbox or Lisa Taubman Blount directly.
