UPDATE: Bane will be going to his foster-to-adopt home on Sunday, July 17th.
Bane is ready for his furever home as soon as possible
Bane is a male bull terrier who is about 17 months old and weighs approximately 51 lbs. He is a very sweet, loving boy but is also a young bully who is easily excitable and has a lot of energy. That young bull terrier energy is proving to be a bit overwhelming for his current foster family so we would like to find him his furever home as soon as possible. He is overly friendly with other dogs and doesn’t quite yet know his manners with them in that he wants to just play with any dog regardless if they want to play or not. He will take a warning after a few times but eventually try to go in for another play attempt. He is crate trained and potty trained but if you are in the same room with him while in his crate, he will bark. He didn’t do this in his previous home or the first few days in his foster home so we feel that this may be related to boredom or possibly getting attention when he is barking while attempting to stop him from doing so. He would do great in a home with another dog of similar size and energy level. He also would do best in a home where he has structure and routine and has mental stimulation/enrichment activities. He does tend to jump up at a person who he wants to greet but this can be managed by asking him to sit or not allowing him that close initially. Due to this and his general excitability and potential to knock down a child accidentally, kids 12 and older. He knows basic commands including sit, down and roll over. No cats or smaller animals. Bane is a talker and can be quite entertaining to listen to.
