UPDATE: We have a fabulous foster-to-adopt home lined up for Cali. She will be going there some time over the next few days. Further updates to follow.
URGENT FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT HOME NEEDED
Meet Cali
Cali is a 1 1/2 year old female bull terrier. Her sister Jerzy and her were given to a neighbor a few months ago when the original owner had to leave for Puerto Rico. Although the neighbor loves them both and has done really great with them, her landlord found out about both bullies and gave her an ultimatum, find a new home for the bullies or find a new home for themselves. We have secured a foster home for Jerzy but are looking to find either a foster or foster-to-adopt home for Cali immediately as the landlord has given the family very little time to resolve the situation. We don’t have an actual weight on her but she is thought to be about 45 pounds. Cali is good with dogs her size and bigger although in typical bull terrier fashion, she has no spacial boundaries, plays rough and does want a lot of attention. We would be okay trying to place her in a home with a neutered male dog who has similar high energy but where the humans would make sure to stop play before it turned into more than rough play. She is crate trained, knows basic commands and enjoys going on walks. We will need to get her into the vet as soon as she gets to her home as she only had vetting when she was a puppy, this will be covered by us. Kids 12 and older. If you live within 6 hours of Paterson, NJ and can provide the home that Cali needs, please either message our main inbox or Lisa Taubman Blount directly.
